Karin Bjornson

Karin Bjornson is a writer and visual artist who lives and works in Tiohtià:ke/ Montreal. A published author and former student of Frank Chalk, she firmly believes in the power of creative expression as a means of transforming everyday thinking. Having witnessed an act of antisemitism in 2023, she remembered the animated public service announcements she saw on television in her childhood and was determined to build a project that could help young people to better recognize hate using short animation as a learning tool: afterall, HATESTiNKS!

Frank Chalk

Frank Chalk is Professor of History and Founding Co-Director & Res. Dir. of the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies, Concordia University. Chalk is a widely published historian and a highly sought-after speaker who served as president for both the Canadian Association of African Studies and the International Association of Genocide Scholars. A past Fellow of the Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, he was also appointed a member of the Canadian Advisory Council of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.
